Beodom partner: Rehau
Beodom chose to work with Rehau, a leader in high-density, cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipes. Rehau uses the Engel method of cross-linking, PE-Xa, which is carried out at high temperature and pressure and where individual polyethylene molecule chains are linked into a three-dimensional network.
Rehau PE-Xa pipes are certainly amongst the best pipes available for many applications. They provide exceptional strength and long lasting performance. Beodom uses Rehau PE-Xa pipes for plumbing, floor heating and geothermal probe. Rehau PE-Xa pipes replace avantageously PVC or copper pipes. In addition, Beodom decided to use Rehau thermal solar system, SOLECT for the production of sanitary hot water.
RAUGEO geothermal probe
Rehau proposes the RAUGEO PE-Xa probe for extracting energy from the ground through a closed loop circuit. Glycol circulating in the RAUGEO probe serves as heat carrier medium. The probe is installed without connections in the ground and the borehole is filled with a conductive material such as bentonite. With the help of a heat pump, the extracted heat is raised to the temperature needed for heating.

SOLECT thermal solar system
Continuing its commitment toward renewable energy, Rehau offers a complete solution for the production of sanitary hot water using free solar energy. SOLECT solar system comprises solar collectors, regulation and water cylinders. We use SOLECT for the first time in Amadeo with 12 solar panels and 2 water cylinders of 500 liters each. The water cylinders are also connected to the geothermal heat pump to warm the water during winter.

RAUTHERM underfloor heating system
Rehau proposes a complete, high quality solution for underfloor heating based on RAUTHERM, a PE-Xa pipe with a co-extruded EVAL oxygen diffusion barrier. Rehau also offers EVERLOC, an easy to use non-detachable joint and the Tacker sheet system for fixing pipes on the floor.

RAUTITAN plumbing system
PE-Xa is the most flexible plumbing pipe available. Most plumbing leaks and system failures occur at joints in fittings. Since PE-Xa requires fewer fittings, it has less opportunity to leak and installs much faster. PE-Xa flexibility also allows it to expand and contract more than other types of pipe. Increased capacity for expansion makes PEX more burst resistant.
